Cyclic Dextrin from Scitec Nutrition is a neutral drink powder based on Cluster Dextrin® that you easily mix with water or another sports drink for a well-tolerated source of carbohydrates during or after heavy exertion.
Cyclic dextrin from scitec nutrition
Scitec Cyclic Dextrin is a high-molecular carbohydrate, also known as highly branched cyclic dextrin (HBCD), developed via a patented process. Unlike classic carbohydrates such as glucose or regular maltodextrin, HBCD has a very high molecular mass and extremely low osmolality. As a result, it leaves the stomach faster and is absorbed evenly in the small intestine, which is ideal for athletes who want a stable, long-term energy supply without a heavy feeling in the stomach.
This drink powder is unsweetened and unflavoured, ideal for combining with your favorite pre, intra, or post-workout formula. Simply mix 1 serving in water or another drink to easily maintain your carbohydrate intake during longer or intensive training sessions.
Ingredients and use
The base of this product consists of highly branched cyclic dextrin, a modern form of Cluster Dextrin® designed for athletic performance and endurance sports. The powder is low in sugar in the final drink, with a maximum of 0.5 g sugar per 100 ml ready-to-drink solution. Thanks to the neutral taste, you can easily stack it with BCAAs, electrolytes, or other sports drinks.
The recommended dosage is 1 serving of 25 g Cyclic Dextrin dissolved in 300 to 400 ml water or a beverage of your choice. On training days, it is recommended to take this serving within four hours after your intensive workout, or during prolonged exertion for a steady supply of carbohydrates. For accurate dosing, it is useful to use a kitchen scale.

This effect is achieved with a total intake of 4 g of carbohydrates per kg of body weight from all sources within the first four to six hours after training.
