Scitec Nutrition’s Lactase Enzyme is a dietary supplement in capsule form that contains the digestive enzyme lactase. This enzyme helps break down lactose, the natural sugar in milk and dairy products, into simple sugars such as glucose and galactose. The capsules are ideal for people who have difficulty digesting lactose and still want to enjoy dairy and dairy proteins such as whey and casein.

Ingredients and Dosage

Each capsule contains carefully selected ingredients that contribute to the optimal functioning of the lactase enzyme. The composition consists of a bulking agent, the capsule wall, and the lactase enzyme itself, derived from Aspergillus oryzae.

Usage

The recommended dosage is 1 capsule with each meal containing lactose, including dairy products and protein shakes (whey, casein, caseinate). One capsule is usually sufficient to digest 20 to 26 grams of lactose, which is equivalent to the lactose in approximately 400 ml of milk.

Bulking agent (cellulose gel), capsule shell [gelatin, glazing agent (shellac), colour (iron oxides and hydroxides), acidity regulators (ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide)], lactase enzyme preparation 15% [β-Galactosidase 44% (from Aspergillus oryzae), salt].

Produced in a factory that also processes milk, egg, gluten, soy, peanuts, nuts, celery, fish, shellfish, molluscs and foods containing sulphur dioxide.
